How to make Dahi Chura:

Ingredients

    • 1 cup flattened rice (chura)
    • 1 cup Magahi Daily Fresh & Creamy Dahi
    • 1/4 cup jaggery or sugar (adjust to taste)
    • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
    • 1 tablespoon finely chopped almonds
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped cashews
  • 1 tablespoon raisins
  • 1 tablespoon grated coconut
  • 1 ripe banana, sliced
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Wash the flattened rice (chura) thoroughly under running water. Soak it in water for a few minutes until it softens. Once softened, drain the water and keep the chura aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk the Magahi Daily Fresh & Creamy Dahi until smooth and creamy. Add jaggery or sugar, cardamom powder, and a pinch of salt to the dahi. Mix well until the sweetener is fully incorporated.
  3. Gently add the softened chura to the sweetened dahi mixture. Ensure all the chura is coated with the dahi, and the texture becomes moist and creamy.
  4. Add the finely chopped almonds, cashews, raisins and grated coconut to the dahi chura. Mix well to combine the flavours.
  5. Allow the Dahi Chura to sit for a few minutes to let the flavours meld together.
